Statistics derived from a smart phone survey titled performance monitoring and accountability 2020 (PMA2020) showed that only 37% of women aged 15-59 in Nigeria, have all they need – clean materials to prevent leakages and stains during their menstruation, while some cannot afford underpants and have to stay at home for the entire period.
The Bloom Network believes that if we continue to have more girls stay away from school and eventually drop out, it limits the number of women who will enter the workforce eventually limiting the number of women who will get to decision making roles.
